To give my clients a choice of oils to enhance their massage treatment I have chosen to start using some new aromatherapy oils. I wanted oils that were nourishing to the skin, but not full of harmful chemicals and after some research decided that Base Formula matched my requirements. Their blends are made in the UK by experts, using premium grade essential oils and organic oils which are not tested on animals and are Paraben free.
I have chosen three oils which are ‘Detox’, ‘Relaxing’ and ‘Muscles’. Each blend has a Sweet Almond Oil base and includes a unique mix of essential oils to assists the mind and body in its natural healing abilities. Whilst using these aromatherapy oils the vapours are inhaled naturally during the massage and also absorbed into your blood stream via your skin.
The smell of each blend is lovely and the oil feels great on the skin too. Here is a detailed description of each Base Formula massage oil and their recommended uses:
- DETOX: Made with Patchouli, Juniperberry and Orange Sweet Essential Oils in a Sweet Almond Oil base. It’s stimulating, cleansing action supports the lymphatic system, liver and kidneys and helps the body to eliminate toxins. It can also be useful in treating water retention and cellulite. Can help relax the mind and body during periods of withdrawal from nicotine or unhealthy foods and also supports healthy energy levels.
- RELAXING: Made with Lavender, Frankincense, Neroli, Palmarosa and Sandalwood Essential Oils in a Sweet Almond Oil base. Soothing for both the mind and body, it’s ideal for helping to reduce stress, tension, anxiety and depression.
